The EPG veteran will fill the Russia spot left open when Na`Vi star Egor "flamie" Vasilyev announced that he would not be attending the event, citing "personal issues".
Dmitry "hooch" Bogdanov secured a Chinese visa on arrival and has already joined up with the rest of the team, who will play their first match on Wednesday at 04:00 , against SK.
Russia, who will also face BIG and New4 in the first group stage, qualified for the WESG World Finals after finishing top 12 at the European Finals, where they were defeated by fnatic in the first round of the playoffs.
With hooch's addition, Russia will field the following team in Haikou:
