OpTic have secured the last spot in ECS Season 6 Europe following their 2-0 victory against LDLC in the consolidation final of the Challenger Cup.
LDLC arrived at the consolidation final after suffering a defeat against another Danish team, North, in the upper bracket final. OpTic, on the other hand, beat HAVU in the lower bracket final to join the French team.
The best-of-three series kicked off on Dust2 where the Danes got eight rounds on the T-side in the first half. Another eight as CTs was enough for René "cajunb" Borg's team to take the 16-12 map victory.
Mirage was also close as OpTic had a tough CT-side half to begin the map, trailing 8-7. They salvaged the win on the T-side and won the map 16-14. With the 2-0 series victory, OpTic have qualified for ECS Season 6 Europe.
The sixth season of ECS Europe will kick off tomorrow with ten teams. The online stage, which will last until November 8, will hand out four spots at the ECS Season 6 Finals.
